We invite you to come and this one-of-a-kind outdoor adventure resort in Southern California. No place else in the United States offers incredible year-round weather, a world-class Bike Park, a 1,000 acre lake, resort-style campground, and hundreds of acres of nature to enjoy. Day guest passes can be purchased for Vailocity, the Trails, the Lake, and coming soon Aerial Adventures Temecula. The best way to really experience the resort is to stay overnight in one of our RV, tent, or hotel-style cabin accommodations. For regular day guests who want to visit several times during the year, be sure to ask about our annual pass program. 

Day Guests

Day guests pay a fee per day/per person for any one of the activities on offer at the resort. Day use passes can be purchased online prior to arrival or on site at the front entrance. This includes Vailocity Bike Park passes, hiking passes, equestrian passes, and lake passes. Typical hours of access for day guests are dawn to dusk, but are subject to change seasonally. All day guests are invited to enjoy the shopping, dining, drinks, and activities in The Village. Use of the swimming pools is NOT allowed for day guests. All day use guests must sign an annual liability waiver before entering the resort.

Overnight Guests

Overnight guests of the Temecula KOA pay a nightly camping fee. There is a maximum number of guests allowed per site. All overnight guests have unlimited use during open hours of Vailocity Bike Park, the trails, the lake (fishing license required), pools, the Village, and campground recreational activities. All overnight guests must sign an annual liability waiver as part of the registration process. 

Reservation &
Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your reservation, you must call the campground before the deadlines listed below to receive your deposit refund, minus a $10 cancellation fee. Not calling to cancel/no show will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit.

RV & Tent Sites

48-hours cancellation notice is required for RV and Tent reservations. Cancellations within 48-hours of arrival will result in full forfeiture of the deposit. Please notify us by 4 p.m., two days before your scheduled arrival. 

Special Events: 

For Special-Event Weekends, including Halloween-themed weekends, cancellations 30-days prior to the arrival date will result in a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 30-days will result in full forfeiture of the deposit.

 

Cabins & Glamping Tents

7-day cancellation notice is required for Cabin and  Glamping Tent reservations. Cancellations within 7 days prior to arrival will result in full forfeiture of the full stay deposit.

Deposit Policy:

A deposit will be taken for the full amount of the stay at the time of the reservation.

Minimum Stay:

All Deluxe Cabins and Glamping Tents will have a 2-night Minimum Stay year-round (Regardless of weekday or weekend).  3-night minimums are currently in place for MLK, Presidents, Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day.

Directions

From I-15 North or South: Take exit 58 for California 79/Temecula Pkwy toward Indio Turn East onto CA-79 S/Temecula Pkwy. Continue for 8.9 miles. Turn left onto Vail Oak Rd.

Hours do change seasonally for some activities at the Resort. 

Dawn to Dusk

The front desk and store are open 8AM to 6PM on Sunday, 9AM-5PM Monday-Thursday and 8AM to 9PM on Friday and Saturday.

Friday and Saturday nights 4-10PM. Sunday and Thursday 6-10PM.

Twisted Oak Café:

The Cafe is open Fridays and Saturdays from 8AM to 8PM, Thursdays from 2PM to 7PM, and Sundays from 8AM to 2PM, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner year-round. During the summer season, we also open on Monday-Wednesday from 8AM to 2PM. 

Shopping at the Village

The Gift Shop at the Village is your place for everything from camping essentials, snacks, & drinks to unique gifts and souvenirs. We are always rotating through fun seasonal items so every visit to the resort deserves a stroll through the gift shop to find the perfect item to take home after your visit. Firewood and ice are also available 7 days a week with free delivery to your site!

 

Food & Restaurants

Join us for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the Cafe! Treat yourself to a great meal in the Village–it’s a great way to making camping feel like a real vacation! Stop by in the morning for an espresso or gourmet coffee and in the afternoon for a hand-scooped ice cream cone.

Grab a local beer, glass of Temecula Valley wine, mixed cocktail, or our famous Bunkhouse Bloody Mary. Great for meeting up with friends or to enjoy during our live entertainment in the Village.

Upcoming Events

Vail Lake Resort is home to many great events including live entertainment in The Village every week of the year. You will find a full calendar of racing events happening at Vailocity throughout the spring. Summer months feature a full-time recreation staff 7-days a week. Anyone who has stayed at the campground in the fall knows just how big we go for Halloween, and if you haven’t had the chance to experience our Holidays in the Park winter traditions, be sure to put a December stay on your family’s annual calendar.

Answers To Your Questions

All of the amazing wineries in Temecula are less then 15 minutes away from the entrance of the Resort.

Lake activities are dependent on the lake level. For current information on activities available to enjoy at Vail Lake, please visit our Vail Lake page.

Cancellation policies are dependent on your camping or glamping accommodation. Click here for all policies.

Reservations for camping can be made up to 1 year in advance.

Guests are allowed to bring golf carts to the campground.  You will need to register your golf cart upon your arrival. Golf cart operators must be at least 16 years old and all golf carts must stay on defined roads. UTVs/ATVs/Quads/Motorcycles are NOT allowed anywhere in the campground or Vail Lake recreation areas.
